Red Island Cotton is a 100% Madagascan production chain which has selected small farmers located along the West coast of Madagascar, to produce and harvest a high-quality African cotton. The Red Island Cotton label is a guarantee of hand-picked cotton produced without use of any chemical defoliants.

Red Island Cotton is committed to respecting the rights of workers in the entire Madagascan textile production chain, supporting families from one year to the next, through access to basic needs and medicines. The reciprocal commitment between Red Island Cotton and Madagascan small farmers producing cotton ensures a Quality charter - from the producer to the consumer.

Red Island Cotton is combed into long fibres. It is dyed in compliance with European standards and respect for the local environment, and fully manufactured in Madagascar under licence.

Pullovers knitted with Red Island Cotton are assembled by hand-linking or crocheting, pre-washed and prepared for shaping and pressing to finish.
